This is undoubtedly one of my favorite paintings I’ve done, although I can’t put my finger on why. Struggling to name it, I ended up giving it the simple title “11pm”. I guess it’s the feeling of porch beers at a friend’s house, late nights in the summer, frogs singing in the darkness, barefoot in the grass seeing if you can still do a cartwheel.
